My name is Oscar and I am the founder of Nelson Douglas Cyber Security. I’ve had a long-lasting passion and appreciation for the cyber security industry and strive to bring something new and innovative to both B2C and B2B in the infosec space.

I started in the early 2010s selling tech which I refurbished and sold online. This progressed to building my own independent website (frontend, backend) where I sold Desktop PCs, Macs, Networking solutions, laptops and local tech repair services for said devices. This gave me a very strong understanding of hardware and software problem solving, order of business and customer communication, as well as solidifying my path in tech. I have worked in various technical roles spanning multiple industries while maintaining professionalism throughout, during this time, I continued to run my IT technician business on weekends and evenings, keeping my existing customers’ systems up to date and fully functional. 

Penetration testing and vulnerability analysis have become my primary focus. During my 2nd line work I worked hard to sharpen my back-end IT skills and software development with a company providing practice management software to vets as well as working with the Victoria and Albert Museum on their IT team, maintaining their existing infrastructure spanning 4 of their 6 sites and even getting the chance to head operations at the Young V&A on its opening day and onwards. I have deliberately sought after industries that require strong cyber hygiene and security posture.
